Employability was an initiative for young people who had spent most of their lives in care and were now facing adulthood and the world of work. Our brief was to explain what employability could do on two levels; to the actual young people and on another level to their carers. We had to communicate to 16 to 18 year olds, and employed an illustrative style we developed to reflect ‘youth culture’ at the time. We also had to consider the language we used and carefully structured the copywriting to suit in a straight forward context.
